The Gestalt Field

What is the surface of a depth?

A kid burrowing under the blankets, opens its eyes to a hallucinatory vastness, projected onto the shadowy folds that envelop them.

This may be a shared experience for many people; where they experience an almost limitless depth in the absence of light, within spaces that are known to be shallow. The question arises: was this a projection part of our visual programming, built up over many years of being seers in the world?

The brain space is free from texture, color, light. It is disembodied. It is formless and endless.

The structure of the gestalt field is magnetic, pulling us in and ejecting us simultaneously. Since forms aren’t being projected into this brain space to give breadth to it, there must be another type of architecture at work: the structure of space itself. This is a space fueled purely by consciousness and the imagination.  It is proof that the arrangement of mass, or the distribution of light within a field, are not the only factors that generate or structure the spatial experience.
